SMT USHA GOKANI VISITS AVANIGADDA IN KRISHNA DISTRICT

Gandhi Kshetram, Avanigadda Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh organized a massive programme on 14 December 2015 on the occasion of visit of Smt. Usha Gokani, Grand-daughter of Mahatma Gandhi.  Sri Mandali Buddha Prasad, Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly organized the Programme.  On arrival Smt Usha Gokani garlanded the statue of Sri Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao, Father of Sri Mandali Buddha Prasad and former Minister in Andhra Pradesh Government and founder of Gandhi Kshetram.  An Aurvedic Medical Camp was organized and the Doctors were felicitated by Smt. Usha Gokani.



 Sri Mandali Buddha Prasad showed the photographs taken during the visit of Smt. Nirmala Gandhi to Gandhi Kshetram some 40 years ago who is the mother of Smt. Usha Gokani.  It was pleasant memories of yester years.
 A Tree Plantation Programme was organized on the Occasion.  Smt. Usha Gokani, Sri Prasad, Dr. Ghazal Srinivas and many planted trees.  This was organized by Rotary Club.
 A public procession was taken on the occasion for cleanliness.  School Children attired as Mahatma Gandhi, with broomsticks in their hands came on to the streets.






 About 2500 children were appearing in the dress of Mahatma Gandhi This event got a place in the Telugu Book of Records for highest number of children in Gandhi Attire at one place.




 Smt. Usha Gokani addressed the Public Meeting and Sri Prasad translated her speech in Hindi into Telugu
 Dr. D R K Prasad and his team from Challapalli gave a message of Green India and Clean India

Smt Usha Gokani met Sri Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao, former Member of Parliament and a former Minister in Andhra Pradesh Government.
