SMT USHA GOKANI ADDRESSES A MEETING IN VIJAYAWADA

Smt. Usha Gokani, Grand daughter of Mahatma Gandhi during her visit to Krishna District Andhra Pradesh addressed a meeting organized by Vasavya Mahila Mandali.  The Meeting was presided over by Smt. Chennupati Vidya, President of VMM and former Member of Parliament and a Social Worker.  Vasavya Children presented a Welcome Dance with Patriotic content.  Dr. G. Vijayam, Director, Atheist Centre conducted the Meeting.  Smt. Rashmi, Secretary VMM received and welcomed Smt. Usha Gokani.  Dr. Maru, Sri Niyantha, Advocate N. Srihari participated in the meeting.  Smt. Krishna Kumari, Station Director All India Radio was a Guest of Honour and Smt. Sujatha Varma, from the Hindu participated.

The Interactive Meeting was on the topic, RELEVANCE OF GANDHI FOR PRESENT DAY.  The Meeting was addressed by Sri Prasad who said that the relevance of Gandhi is more today than during his time.  The question would be if we are relevant to Gandhian Way rather than Gandhi being relevant today Sri Prasad said.
