VASAVI CLUB supports education of Rural Children

VASAVI Club members from Hyderabad visited Burujugadda and distributed note books to about 50 students from Rangareddy and Mahaboobnagar Districts on August 4, 2013..  As part of Club's Education Support program this support was extended at a Function at Burujugadda, Pedashapur village, Shamshabad Mandal, Rangareddy District, organized by Gandhi King Foundation and Vasavya Society for Rural Development.  Gandhi King Foundation launched Sarvodaya Yuva Vahini which is a Youth Wing of Gandhian movement and organized several youth camps on Gandhian ideals.  GKF sponsored about 50 youth and children to attend Youth Camps in New Delhi, Sevagram and Jammu & Kashmir.

Vasavya Society for Rural Development (VASORD) initiated a Development Process in Burujugadda and villages around in Rangareddy District and in Farukhnagar Mandal of Mahaboobnagar.  Social Mobilization, Community Organization, Thrift and Credit, Income Generation and other programs were undertaken in about 50 villages.  With enhanced incomes parents wanted education for their children.  VASORD started Vasavya Vidyalayam, a school for education of the children.  Burujugadda stands as a shining example of a development work of 25 years.

VASAVI Club provided note-books for children of Burujugadda and other villages.  A team lead by Dr. Ravikanth, Ravi Prasanna and others visited Burujugadda.
