Hiroshima Day Function at Hyderabad

Prasad Addressed Students of High Schools and Colleges who participated in a programme to mark Hiroshima Day on August 6, and gave away prizes and certificates. This programme was organized by COVA at Gandhi Darshan, Hyderabad


Prasad addresses in University of Rhode Island





Prasad visited University of Rhode Island in Kingston and addressed 9th International Nonviolence Summer Institute on July 8. He was honoured with a citation as an "HONORARY KINGIAN NONVIOLENCE ADVOCATE FOR PROMOTING GLOBAL PEACE AND NONVIOLENCE EDUCATION"

Prasad interacted with the participants of the Summer Institute and with its Director, Paul Bueno De Mesquita and its Convenor, Art Stein.





Prasad meets Dr. Gene Sharp in Boston


Prasad met Dr. Gene Sharp, Professor, Emeritus, Harvard University and Founder of Albert Einstein Institute in Boston, USA. Dr. Sharp is a great Gandhian Scholar and written many books on Gandhi. His works are translated into many languages and is associated with a number of peace movements and conflict resolution initiatives around the world.

Meeting with OU Professors June 21





Sri Prasad addressed the Professors from various Social Sciences Departemtns of Osmania University on June 21, 2010. Prof. S. Sudarshan Rao, Principal of Arts College presided over the meeting. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Lakshmi, chairperson, Board of Studies, History Department. This meeting came up with an unanimous decision to introduce Gandhian studies at Maters level.

Youth Camp in Varanasi June 1 - 5






YOUTH CAMP IN VARANASI

Sarva Seva Sangh (SSS) organized a Youth Camp in Varanasi from June 1 - 5. About 100 participants from different parts of the country participated. Sri Prasad, Coordinator, Training wing of Sarva Seva Sangh participated and provided inputs. Sri Ashok Bharat was the organizer of the Camp who led the Cycle Yatra from T. Kallupatti in Tamil Nadu to Sevagram in Maharashtra. Sarvodaya perspective was presented and present society, its problems were discussed with programmes to be undertaken. Dr. Ramji Singh, former Vice Chancellor of Jain Viswa Bharati University, Amarnath Bhai, former president, SSS, Mahadev Vidrohi, General Secretary of SSS, Raman Bhai, Secretary, SSS, Dr. Mahavir Singh, President, UP Sarvodaya Mandal, Prof. Ramkumar Dwivedi from Banaras Hindu University and other Scholars led the discussions. National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI) supported this camp.
