Sarvodaya Study Camp, Wanaparti Mahaboobnagar District June 2 - 3, 2011.

'Sarvodaya Study Camp will be organized in Wanaparti, Mahaboobnagar District on June 2 &3. This Camp will discuss the broad outline of Sarvodaya Philosophy, Activities, their application to present day society. Dr. L. Muralidhar, Hon. President of Jana Vignana Vedika is organizing the Camp and Sri Prasad will coordinate the components of the Camp. Free accommodation and hospitality will be provided to the participants. Gram Swaraj Yatra 2011 on the Occasion of 60 Years of Bhoodan












On the occasion of Bhoodan Movement completing 60 years, Vinoba Niketan near Trivandrum undertook Gram Swaraj Yatra - 2011 under the leadership of Parivrajika Rajammaji along with 20 other members spreading the message of Bhoodan and Gram Swaraj. This Yatra entered into Andhra Pradesh on April 27th and Sri Prasad and Sri GV Subba Rao received the Yatra in Ananthapur. The programme in Ananthapur was coordinated by Prof. Mallikarjuna Reddy, Professor of History in Sri Krishnadevaraya University and Sri B.V. Radhakrishna Murthy of Janavignana Vedika. After a meeting in Ananthapur the Yatra proceeded to Kurnool on 28th. Dr. Muralidhar, Hon. President of Janavignan Vedika, Md. Miya Gen. Secretary of JVV, Sri Pratap Reddy and others organized the Kurnool meetings. The Yatra reached Sivarampalli on 28th evening.

The team proceeded to Bhoodan Pochampalli on 29th morning. After garlanding the statues of Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Vedire Ramachandra Reddy Rajammaji addressed a meeting in Vinoba Mandir. In the evening a meeting was organized in NCRI. The team left for Adilabad on 30th morning and reached Sevagram by evening.




Gram Swaraj Yatra in Konkan area








Gram Swaraj Yatra was organized from 2nd to 10th May in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts. Two teams toured the districts separately. Both the Yatras culminated at Gopuri Ashram at Kankavalli. In the Concluding funcion Radha Behn Bhatt, President of Sarva Seva Sangh participated. The significance of this Yatra is that in the area a Nuclear Power Plant is proposed. The people are opposing the Plant. This yatra visited those villages which would be affected by the Plant and addressed Students, Teachers, Panchayati Raj Functionaries, Intellectuals etc.


Yusuf Meharally Centre 50 years Celebrations






Yusuf Meharally Centre in Mumbai Celebrated 50 years on May 1. A replica of Bapu Kuti of Sevagram was opened on this occasion. Some 300 people from different parts of the Country participated in this event. A meeting of the Volunteers of YMC from various states also participated. Sri Prasad addressed them.
