KASTURBA VARDHANTHI OBSERVED IN SEVAGRAM ASHRAM

Ma Kasturba Gandhi Vardhanthi was observed at Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan.  Ms. Paromitha Goswami, leader of Anti-liquor Movement in Chandrapur was the Chief Guest who addressed the meet.  Sri Mahadev Vidrohi, President of Sarva Seva Sangh and Sri Jayawant Mathkar, President of Sevagram Ashram spoke.  Sri Goutam Bajaj was a Guest of Honour.  The meeting which took place in the Ashram at 3:00 pm on 22 February 2016 was attended by participants of National Sarvodaya Women's Camp and others.




Youth Group for Self Employment through Gram Swaraj

A Youth Group was formed in Wardha for Self-Employment, Self-Reliance through Gram Swaraj Model.  The Group would promote Rural, Swadeshi Products, cow based products, market them and create awareness in villages.

Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan provided a base for the Group to produce cow based products.  The group is progressing with Gandhian Philosophy as its foundation.  Sri Shankar Bagade and Sri Prasad addressed the Group and later organized a meeting in Bapu Kuti in the Ashram.  In the Ashram, Sri Sriram Jadhav, Secretary of the Ashram, Sri MM Gadhkari, former President of the Ashram and Sri Shankar Bagade addressed and interacted with the Youth Group.  Later the Group visited Youth Wing Office of Sevagram Ashram.

SARVA SEVA SANGH'S WEBSITE LAUNCHED

Sarva Seva Sangh's website was launched on 25 February 2016 at Kasturba Gandhi Bhavan in Howrah during the Executive Committee meeting.  The website was launched by Dr. Ramjee Singh, veteran Gandhian and Sarvodaya Philosopher who was also former member of Lok Sabha and a Vice-Chancellor.  The programme was presided over by Sri Mahadev Vidrohi, President of SSS in the presence of Sri Shaik Hussain, General Secretary, Sri Jayawant Mathkar, President of Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan and others.

Sri GVVSDS Prasad, Secretary Sarva Seva Sangh who conceptualized and structured the website, presented the purpose and contents of the website.  He invited suggestions and inputs from all the members for updating the website regularly.

YOUTH MEETING IN SEVAGRAM ASHRAM

A group of youth interested in taking up self employment based on Gram Swaraj organized a meeting in Wardha which was addressed by Sri GVVSDS Prasad and Sri Shankar Bagade.  Later the group visited Sevagram Ashram and a meeting was organized in Bapu Kuti for the visitors.







ALL INDIA SARVODAYA WOMEN'S CAMP SEVAGRAM 20-22 FEBRUARY 2016

An All India Sarvodaya Women's Camp was organized in Sevagram commemorating the Vardhanthi of Ma Kasturba Gandhi on 20-22 February 2016.  This Camp was organized by Sarva Seva Sangh and Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan.

The Camp was attended by about 60 participants from 8 states in the country.  The Camp was inaugurated by SuSri Radhabehn Bhatt and addressed by Sri Jayawant Mathkar, President, Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan, Sri Mahadev Vidrohi, President, Sarva Seva Sangh, Sri Prasad, Secretary, Sarva Seva Sangh, Smt. Asha Bothra, Smt, Usha behn Pandit, and others.

On 22nd morning a Prabhat Pheri was organized marching into Sevagram Village.  A meeting was organized in the village and later at the Ashram which was addressed by Sri Jayawant Mathkar.

The Camp was organized by Smt. Sobha, Secretary, Sarva Seva Sangh.









REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS IN SARVA SEVA SANGH

Republic Day was Celebrated in Sarva Seva Sangh Office in Sevagram.  Sri Mahadev Vidrohi, President, Sarva Seva Sangh hoisted the National Flag.  He was assisted by Sri Vijay Kumar, Secretary, SSS.  Present were Sri Jayawant Mathkar, President Sevagram Ashram, Sri Sriram Jadhav, Secretary of Sevagram Ashram, Smt. Sobha Secretary SSS, Sri Shankar Bagade, Sri MM Gadhkari, Sri Prasad Secretary SSS and others.

Martyrs' Day observed in Andhra University

Gandhian Studies Centre organized Martyrs' Day in Andhra University on 30 January 2016.  At 8:00 am in the morning Mahatma Gandhi Statue near the Administrative Block was Garlanded by the Vice Chancellor, the Rector, Registrar and a host of Andhra University Functionaries.  Sri GVVSDS Prasad, Secretary Sarva Seva Sangh attended the Programme as a Special Guest and garlanded the Statue and paid tributes to the Father of the Nation.

Later at 10:30 am a meeting was organized in the Gandhian Studies Centre. the Vice Chancellor was the Chief guest and Sri Prasad delivered the main lecture.  Prof. ABSV Ranga Rao, Director of Gandhian Studies Centre coordinated the programme.















SRI PRASAD ADDRESSES STUDENTS IN AVANIGADDA

Sri Prasad addressed students of Government Degree College in Avanigadda, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh on 1st February 2016.  The Theme was Gandhian Philosophy and its application today.  The students listened very attentively and participated in a good discussion.

Dr. Illa Ravi Principal of the College and a Philosophy Scholar himself organized the Meet and introduced the topic.  Other faculty members participated actively in the programme.

NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON BHOODAN AND GRAMDAN SEVAGRAM 24-25 JANUARY 2016

A National Workshop on Bhoodan and Gramdan was organized on 24-25 January 2016 at Sevagram by Sarva Seva Sangh, Sevagram Ashram Pratishtan and Vidarbha Bhoodan Yagna Mandal.  People from various states in the country have participated including representatives from the Governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha.
