Talk on Khadi is not just a Cloth but a Thought

A talk on "Khadi is not just a Cloth but a Thought" was organized by NAPM Andhra Pradesh.  Vimal Bhai from Uttarakhand gave an inspiring talk.  Saraswati Kavula conducted the proceedings and Ramakrishna Raju from NAPM graced the occasion.

Sri Prasad interacted with the participants and said that Khadi is not just a cloth but is 'My Identity'.  It is an expression of our life's philosophy and what we stand for.  Mahatma Gandhi, during freedom struggle placed before the Nation Khadi as an important component of Constructive Programme.  Khadi provides employment for millions of people.  It is a symbol of Self Respect, Self Reliance, Gram Swaraj, Body Labour, identifying with poor, environment and good health.

A display of Khadi products was organized by Wavilal Khadi and by Sri G. Sampath Rao.

Agricultural Scientist visits Burujugadda

Dr. Sai Kumar, Director of Maize Research, New Delhi visited Burujugadda Village in Rangareddy District and interacted with Farmers.  Dr. Sai Kumar developed several varieties of Maize over thirty years which are high yielding and with better nutritive content.  The Farmers in Burujugadda will be provided with improved seeds, training in good agricultural practices to improve productivity.

Youth Camp in Chatti Khammam Dist.

A Youth Camp was organized in Chatti in Khammam District.  Sri Prasad addressed the participants of the Youth Camp on 13th May.  This Camp was organized by Rajat Avasak and Tejaswini to bring Peace in Dandakaranya area through Youth.

Sri Prasad visited Indian Institute of Management and had a meeting with its Director, Prof. Pankaj Chandra  Both discussed the possibility of introducing a course on Gandhian Thought in IIM Bangalore.  They have also discussed strengthening Khadi Sector.  The students have expressed their interest in Sarvodaya and Social Causes.

Meeting in Sindhanur, Karnataka

Sri DRK Murthi who runs several educational institutions in Karnataka organized three meetings - A Students' Meet in which about 600 High School and Degree College Students Participated.

2.  A meeting of Women in Gandhi Nagar in which about 30 women participated.

3. A Meeting of Youth in which about 30 youth participated in the temple of Gandhi Nagar.

Sri Prasad and Dr. Kranthi addressed the three meetings on Sarvodaya, Gram Swaraj etc.
